PHILLIPS — Voters in Avon, Phillips, Kingfield and Strong on Tuesday overwhelmingly approved a $9.19 million budget for Regional School Unit 58.

In Kingfield, the budget passed decisively, 65-3; the question of whether to continue the two-vote budget approval also passed with a strong 56-21.

For Phillips, the budget tally was 38-15, while the question of continuing the two-vote budget-approval process passed 40-13.

For Strong, the budget approval was 72-20; the budget-approval process tally was 57-30.

For Avon, the budget passed 28-no; and budget-approval process passed 24-8.

“I am pleased to see the support from all the communities for the budget,” Superintendent Susan Pratt said. “There was a lot of hard work put into the process to develop this budget, and it is great to see the support from all communities.”
