POLAND — Regional School Unit 16 officials will hold a public forum at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, at Whittier Middle School to discuss a proposed addition to the middle school.
In March, the School Committee selected the architectural firm Portland Design Team to develop concept plans for a 9,600-square-foot addition to Whittier Middle School.
On Wednesday, school officials and members of the design team will be present to discuss how and what needs will be addressed. Also discussed will be project costs, the financing plan and construction timetable.
Early estimates indicate the addition will cost over $3 million, with local communities paying for the entire project.
Feedback from the public is desired.
