Creole sounds coming to Greene
GREENE — Hope Haitian Choir will visit Greene Baptist Church at 7 p.m. Friday, July 29, at 102 Main St.
The choir of 15 children and five accompanying adults from Haiti will arrive in Boothbay on July 19, ready to share its music in English and Creole.
Children will live with families in the Boothbay region for 10 days while they intensely rehearse in preparation for more than 25 concerts from Maine to Pennsylvania.
Choir Director Barb House has made several trips to Haiti to select and work with the children. Most of the music is original, written by House and singer/songwriter Fabry Christy.
