BRIDGTON — Based on the overflow attendance at Hospice of Southern Maine’s recent Thresholds Conference, HSM will keep the conversation going with six community forums highlighting excerpts of the conference. The next forum is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 14, at the Bridgton Hospital, 10 Hospital Drive.
The Thresholds Conference keynote speaker, Dr. Diane Meier, will be featured in a short video and will provide a useful guide on what to say and do when having important conversations with patients, physicians, family members and loved ones about end-of-life care.
The Thresholds Community Forums are free and open to the public and will include a light supper, screening of a short video highlighting key points from the conference, and a facilitated discussion about what to say and do when talking about end-of-life and quality-of-life decisions with family, friends or physicians.
