LEWISTON — A Funeral Mass honoring the life of Rita L. Vallee was celebrated on Monday, July 18 at Holy Cross Church following prayers at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home. Reverend Steven Cartwright celebrated the Mass and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery. At the beginning of the Mass, Marc Roy and Claire Vallee placed the burial pall on Mrs. Vallee’s casket which symbolized her Baptism into new life. The First Reading and the Prayer of the Faithful were read by Marc Labonte. The Offertory was brought to the Altar by Robert Vallee and Therese Roy. The pallbearers were Steven Vallee, Brian and Timothy Roy, Thomas Smith, Gerard Roy, Justin Labonte and Kelvin Harris. A reception of fellowship was held at Marco’s Restaurant following the committal services at the cemetery. Arrangements by the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home in Lewiston.
