Screening of “TRAPPED” Tuesday

AUBURN — A free screening of “TRAPPED” will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, at 169 Pleasant St., followed by a panel discussion about issues of access to women’s health care in Maine. This program is hosted by the Social Justice committee of the First Universalist Church of Auburn.

TRAPPED, a critically-acclaimed documentary by Dawn Porter, follows the struggles of the clinic workers and lawyers who are on the front lines of a battle to keep abortion safe and legal for millions of American women.

After the film, women’s health care advocates from Maine Family Planning and Planned Parenthood of Northern New England will participate in a panel discussion on local access to safe and legal abortion and possible effects of the recent Supreme Court decision on the Texas case and the influence of the GOP VP nominee.
