1930 – 2016

AUBURN — Jeanne (Wilde) Crites, 86, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 24, at Schooner Estates in Auburn.

She was born in Winchester, Mass., on June 15, 1930, the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Springall) Wilde.

Moving from Winchester, she spent more than 30 years in Auburn, and the remainder of her life in Minot. She was married to Dr. Walter Crites Jr. and they shared a loving marriage of more than 50 years.

Jeanne worked for the Auburn School Department in the lunch program, Mid-Maine Mutual Bank and was the secretary for the Maine Board of Dental Examiners. Jeanne was known to be an avid reader and she loved her cats. A perfect day for her would simply be having all of her children home, as she always worried about their well-being.

Growing up, she summered in Dexter on Wassookeag Lake. In her later years, she enjoyed spending time at the family camp ion Kennebago Lake in Rangeley.

The family would like to thank the staff of Schooner Memory Care, especially Amy, Vickie and Nadine for their support and care over the last three years.
