I think Ted Cruz is being unfairly criticized for what he did not say in his convention speech. If you judge what he did say, it was a very good lecture on the freedoms I believe in as a Republican.
What people forget is that conservatives stand on principle and mean what they say. After what Cruz and Donald Trump said about each other during the primaries, it would have been the height of hypocrisy for Cruz to endorse Trump.
If Hillary Clinton is elected, conservatives would like an honest candidate to vote for in 2020.
By the way, did I miss something? I don’t recall much about Trump in House Speaker Paul Ryan’s speech, either.
