The Southern Maine Flame U14 Black won the Polar Crush Pre­National tournament in Fitchburg, Mass from July 15­-17. After going 2­-1 in pool play, FLAME seeded second in their pool and went 4­-0 in single elimination on July 17. The Championship game featured a close battle with a victory over the Firecrackers Red Hots. After four tournaments thus far, the FLAME have two championships and one runner­-up while compiling a 24-­4 record.
