1930 – 2016

FARMINGTON — Marylyn Mae Steward, 85, passed away Friday, July 29, at Edgewood Rehabilitation and Living Center in Farmington, with her loving family by her side.

She was born Dec. 28, 1930, in Rangeley, the daughter of Fred and Mildred (Dunham) Campbell. She was educated in the schools of Rangeley, graduating from Rangeley High School in the Class of 1948.

Marylyn married Wendell Steward on Aug. 28, 1954, in Rangeley, where they had made their home all of their lives. Wendell predeceased her Feb. 13, 2016.

She worked at Moulton’s Store, where she once waited on Perry Como. She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Rangeley, the Rangeley Region Guides and Sportsmen Association and the Rangeley Ambulance. Marylyn enjoyed sewing, cooking, camping and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her two sons, Brad Steward of Rangeley and Corey Steward of Phillips; her two daughters, Wendelyn Steward of Strong and Melissa Bean of Dallas Plantation; and her grandson, Cody Steward of Strong.

She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Wendell Steward; her brother, Glenwood Campbell; her sister, Lorraine Bean; and her niece, Wileen Greeley.
