Waterford Grange craft, yard sales

WATERFORD — The Waterford Grange will be open its craft and yard sales from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Aug. 26 and 27 and Sept. 2 and 3, on Route 35 beside the North Waterford Post Office.

RUMFORD — Greater Rumford Community Center will hold and open house from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29.

Fall hours at the MPL

MEXICO — Mexico Public Library has announced that it will move into its fall hours of operation Thursday, Sept. 1, which will be effective through Dec. 31.

The library will be open from 2 to 8 p.m. Mondays; 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays; 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesdays; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays; and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.

Storytime for children ages 2 to 5 will resume from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays starting Sept. 6.

Book Café, the adult book club, will meet from 5:45 to 7 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month and is always open to new members.

The library will be closed Monday, Sept. 5, to observe Labor Day; Friday, Nov. 11, for Veteran’s Day; Nov. 25 and 26 for Thanksgiving; and December 23 and 24 for the Christmas holiday.

A book drop is available next to the door facing Main Street for the convenience of patrons who would like to return items during times when the library is closed.
