RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial Honoring the Life of Helena Martin was celebrated 12 noon Saturday, Aug. 20 at Parish of the Holy Savior. The Rev. Nathan March was the celebrant. Bernard Poirier was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “Be Not Afraid”, “Ave Maria”, “On Eagles Wings” and “Fly Like A Bird”. The Old Testament was proclaimed by granddaughter Mallory Murphy. The New Testament was proclaimed by Rachel Child. Prayer of the Faithful was offered by grandson, Riley Hopkins. Offertory Gifts were presented by grandchildren, Cari Hopkins and Brady Hopkins. Personal reflections were shared by granddaughters, Christina Laham and Kelly Sleight. Interment was in St. John Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Napper, Alan Sleight, Tom Child, Dave Hopkins, David Napper and Joshua Murphy. A reception catered by SG Thibault Funeral Home was served by the Daughters of Isabella in the parish hall. Services were under the care and guidance of SG Thibault Funeral Home, Cremation & Monument Services, 250 Penobscot St., Rumford.
