FARMINGTON — Work First Inc., 309 Wilton Road, Farmington, announces that Erin Wilcox has been named the Direct Support Professional of the Year.
Wilcox was selected by her peers because of her positive energy and attitude, along with her kindhearted smile and calming approach.
Each year, Work First celebrates the national Direct Support Professional Recognition Week. This year it will be celebrated from Sept. 11 to 17. Work First will organize daily surprises and gifts for all of the direct support staff, who keep individuals with disabilities involved in meaningful daily routines.
Work First is a private, nonprofit organization offering services to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
