PARIS — The Tour De O’Hills Nordic bike race will be on Saturday, Sept. 24.

The race begins at 8:30 a.m. It includes a 10-mile course through the hills of Norway and a shorter 3-mile loop designed for novice bikers and older children. The race will start and end at Gouin Field in South Paris. The race will be in a time-trial/interval start format, and helmets are required for all riders.

Registration will be open from 7 to 8:15 a.m. the day of the race. Cost is $25 for adults and $20 for those 17 and younger.

Discounted preregistration rates are $20 for adults and $15 for those 17 and younger. Those interested can register at, or pick up forms at Cafe Nomad, Green Machine Bike Shop, ProVision Center or Happi Chicks Bake Shop. Race T-shirts will be available for $10.

Race proceeds benefit the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School Nordic ski team. The money will be used to pay for a five-day trip to Fort Kent for advanced training, equivalent to 26 after-school practices.
