As a resident of New Gloucester, I thank Ellie Espling for her leadership in Augusta. She listens to her constituents and takes action.

As a nurse who works in home care, I have witnessed a home-care crisis and caregiver shortage for years. Maine has grossly under-funded programs that serve the disabled and elderly, resulting in a caregiver shortage that leaves many residents without the care they desperately need.

After discussing the crisis with Rep. Espling, she took action and sponsored a bill to close the gap in reimbursement. With her leadership and support, the Maine Legislature was able to find $4 million to close the gap.

Although there is more work to be done, I am confident that, if re-elected, she would continue her advocacy on her constituents’ behalf.

Ellie Espling listens and supports, not only her constituents, but all of the residents of Maine.
