When it comes to supporting economic development for the Lewiston-Auburn community, Sen. Eric Brakey is a tireless advocate for residents.

It is no secret that Maine has its challenges. Maine is one of the highest taxed states in the nation and that has made it difficult to attract job creators here. With leaders such as Brakey, however, Maine is making real progress.

Brakey truly cares about those he represents. He wants to empower people by growing jobs, not government. He understands that higher taxes and more red tape — no matter how well-intended — set the path of job creation backward.

That’s why he has fought to lower taxes, reform welfare and make Maine a better place to live, work and play.

For job creation in Maine, I am voting to re-elect Sen. Eric Brakey for Auburn, New Gloucester, Poland, Minot and Mechanic Falls.

Matt Leonard, Auburn
