LEWISTON — New Ventures Maine is offering a workshop, Introduction to Self-Employment, from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, at the Lewiston CareerCenter, 5 Mollison Way.
It’s goal is to help people decide if self-employment is the right choice. The class covers the pros and cons of owning a business, the steps needed to get started, the major elements of a business plan, and the many resources available to help a person succeed.
