I am writing to express my support for Ellie Espling for state Representative of District 65 — New Gloucester and part of Poland.

While some people running for office claim to be for Maine business, for lower taxes, for welfare reform, for better education and for a better environment, Rep. Espling has continually supported legislation on all of those issues.

Espling supported paying back Maine’s hospitals. She has been supportive of some of the largest tax breaks in Maine history. She supported a bill on welfare reform because welfare dollars should not be spent on liquor, lottery tickets and tobacco products. She has submitted legislation regarding standardized testing because of the problems with the Smarter Balance test. She opposed the most recent mining rules due to her concerns about potential groundwater contamination.

While others say they support this or they support that, Ellie Espling has a proven public voting record.
