1. Thornton Academy (5-0) (1)

The Golden Trojans went on the road and took care of business against a Scarborough team that until this week held real estate in these rankings.

2. Bonny Eagle (5-0) (2)

The scoreboard got a bit of a break in Standish this past weekend, after the Scots scored a combined 122 points the previous two weeks. Only 21 were scored against Deering.

3. Portland (4-1) (3)

The Bulldogs took sole possession of Class A North by holding off rival Cheverus. The road now gets easier for the reigning regional champions, who next welcome in Lewiston and Bangor.

4. Brunswick (5-0) (5)

The Dragons handled Skowhegan on the road to re-take the No. 4 spot from Biddeford. Now they return home to host fellow undefeated contender Brewer.

5. Biddeford (5-0) (4)

The Tigers had their best scoring output of the season, piling up 49 points in a home blowout against York. The Wildcats did score the most points (19) any team has against Biddeford.

6. Brewer (5-0) (7)

Last Friday night could have easily been a trap game for the Witches, who were coming off a win over Skowhegan and had a looming date with Brunswick. But they escaped Cony with a win.

7. Wells (5-0) (8)

In what might have been their biggest test to date on paper, the Warriors scored a season-best 54 points while allowing just one score to Yarmouth.

8. Madison/Carrabec (5-0) (10)

A week after a big win over Winslow, the Bulldogs produced a big blowout victory at Waterville, winning 67-0. Next comes a date at 4-1 Mount Desert Island.

9. Falmouth (4-1) (NR)

The Yachtsmen have put that week three loss at Biddeford behind them, including putting away pesky Leavitt on the road this past Saturday.

10. Cape Elizabeth (5-0) (NR)

These rankings can no longer ignore the Capers. Not only are they undefeated, but since scoring 29 points in week one, they have scored at least 42 in every game since.
