1927 – 2016

LEWISTON — Lucien A. Asselin, 89, of Lewiston, died at Marshwood Nursing Home in Lewiston on Saturday, Oct. 15, following a short illness.

Born in Lewiston on March 17, 1927, he was the son of Wilfred and Alice Berube Asselin. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, worked for many years for the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department, and after retiring became a constable and served papers for area lawyers.

He leaves behind a sister, Jackie Duclos and husband, Normand, of Berlin, N.H.; sister-in-law, Jackie Laurie of Lewiston; his partner of 10 years, Annette Beauchesne; along with many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Yolande, in 2005; and his son, Daniel, in 2016.
