LEWISTON — Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice announces two recent hires. Kristen McEvoy has joined AHCH as its volunteer services manager and John Martins has been named communications manager.

McEvoy will be responsible for managing all aspects of volunteer recruiting and retention while creating and promoting innovative programs using the skills of volunteers to support operations in all AHCH programs. In addition, she will promote and honor the contributions of volunteers throughout the AHCH service area. She is a licensed clinical professional counselor and a member of the American Counseling Association.

Her work experience includes administrative leadership, community relations, human resources, marketing, teaching, counseling and therapy.

Martins will lead internal and external communications initiatives, serve as the single point of content for all media inquiries and act as the agency spokesperson when appropriate.

He comes to AHCH with more than 30 years of communications experience, most recently serving as the director of internal and program communications/public health information officer at the Maine Department of Health and Human Services.
