Matt Roy is the best candidate to represent District 58 in the Maine House of Representatives.
As a parent of two Lewiston students, I have attended many Lewiston School Committee meetings to share my concerns and ideas. As a School Committee member, Roy has always been respectful of parent input and concerns and has gone above and beyond to research and learn more about issues before taking an official position.
I have witnessed Roy’s opponent to be downright dismissive of parent concerns and of Lewiston teachers as they bravely shared their concerns.
Roy independently researched and wrote the recently adopted resolution against using federally and state mandated high-stakes standardized tests to determine the value of students, teachers and schools — a first in Maine.
Matt Roy goes the extra mile, truly putting Lewiston students and teachers first. I support him for District 58.
