AUBURN — The First Universalist Church of Auburn will celebrate Samhain with a ritual and potluck from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, at 169 Pleasant St.

Samhain is a Gaelic festival marking the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter or the “darker half” of the year. Planned activities for kids and adults include coloring pages, ancestor garland making and divination. Participants should bring their favorite tools if interested in reading for someone. They may also bring a photo or small memento of a deceased loved one for the altar.

Participants are asked to bring snacks to share, and tools of divination. All are welcome. The church is handicapped-accessible.
