Story hour at New Sharon library
NEW SHARON — The Jim Ditzler Memorial Library will hold a story hour from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursdays, Nov. 3 and 17.
Future story hour dates are: Dec. 1, 15 and 29; and, in 2017, Jan. 12 and 26; Feb. 9 and 23; March 9 and 23; April 6 and 20; and May 4 and 18.
There will be stories, crafts and snacks.

Twin Town Nature Club to meet
OXFORD — The Twin Town Nature Club will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, for a potluck dinner and the last meeting of the season at the Congregational Church, 252 King St.
Carol and Larry LaBossiere will present pictures of their recent trip to Ireland.

Wreaths sought for Festival of Wreaths
CANTON — Canton Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will hold its fourth annual Festival of Wreaths from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, Nov. 26 and 27 and Dec. 3 and 4, at 90 Turner St.
The Auxiliary is seeking donations of wreaths of any theme, real or artificial. Past wreath themes include home decor, Christmas, Halloween, Fourth of July, lottery tickets, candy and more. The Auxiliary can accommodate wreaths that need electricity. Businesses may attach advertising materials to their wreath.
Visitors will view the wreaths and deposit tickets in an auction fashion to receive their favorite wreaths. Winners will be drawn after close on Dec. 4. Tickets cost $5 for six tickets or one ticket for $1.
Previously, proceeds have been used to help with truck repairs and tracks for the utility vehicle. This summer, the Auxiliary provided donations to three families who were displaced from their homes due to house fires.
