FARMINGTON — The University of Maine at Farmington’s annual Arts and Crafts Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 5, in the UMF Olsen Student Center on South Street.

The junior class will sell themed raffle baskets it has compiled from each homeroom, such as a Movie Night, Thanksgiving basket and Day Spa. Students will also sell concessions, serve popcorn, provide face-painting and help crafters put up and take down their booths.

There will be more than 30 vendors selling items like jewelry, homemade jellies and jams, quilted items, hand-painted wooden signs, Christmas ornaments, mittens, sweaters and baked goods.

LEWISTON — Lewiston Elks will hold a fall vendor fair from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, at the Lodge.

Multiple vendors will be there to display their products, and there will be raffles, a 50/50 drawing and refreshments.

A future fair will be held Sunday, Dec. 11.

LEWISTON — The Pause for Pets Craft and Vendor Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, at the Ramada Inn. The fair is a fundraiser for the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society.

Pause for Pets began in April 2011 and is coordinated by Lauren Odiorne and Shannon Vishe of Lewiston. Two fairs are held each year. The last fair, held in April, raised $3,074 for the shelter.

More than 50 vendors will be attending and offering a variety of products and handmade crafts. The fair has free admission and door prizes, in addition to a paid raffle with prizes donated by vendors.

Volunteers and staff will be on hand to discuss the shelter’s programs and services, including spay and neuter assistance for area residents. Donations of pet food, litter, toys, cleaning supplies and other essential items will be collected throughout the event.

There will also be volunteers from CERT/CART there to discuss emergency preparedness for area residents and pet owners.
