I have known Shenna Bellows for more than 10 years, having met her while working on civil rights issues when she was the executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Maine. She is an amazing woman who has dedicated her life to standing up for civil and human rights, and I am thrilled she is running to be a state senator.

She has stood beside my family and me in legislative committee hearings, fighting for health care and support services for people who are suffering with brain injuries and PTSD, and is always working on behalf of the common person, the elderly, the disabled and the disadvantaged.

As a state senator, she will always work in the best interest of the people of Maine, without beholding to special interests or the privileged few.

I will be voting for Shenna Bellows for Maine Senate District 14.
