I am writing this in support of Matthew Roy for Maine House District 58. As someone who considers him a good friend, I proudly speak of his unwavering commitment to the people of his district.
Roy is currently serving his second term as a member of the Lewiston School Committee. He is the kind of guy who will relentlessly research an issue until he gets a full grasp of it and bring that informed perspective to each and every vote that he makes. Lewiston’s future is the youth, and he knows that.
Recently, he authored an approved resolve that affirmed the Lewiston School Committee’s opposition to the ridiculous rate of standardized testing Lewiston students must endure. The resolve was the first of its kind in Maine.
Matt Roy is the pro-education candidate needed in Lewiston and I hope my friends and neighbors will support him on Election Day.
