1944 – 2016

RUMFORD — Gloria Mae Ellis, 72, of Carthage passed away Saturday, Nov. 19, at Rumford Community Home.

Gloria was born in Rumford on Jan. 18, 1944, to parents Elijah (Tiger) and Helen (Worcester) White.

She was a proud member of the original Mothers Club of Carthage and the Webb River Snowmobile Club. She enjoyed fishing, camping, snowmobiling, knitting, outings with her family and especially bingo. She had worked at various jobs with her last being at Foster Manufacturing.

Gloria is survived by her husband of 51 years, Ronald Ellis Sr.; sons, James Ellis of Bangor, Ronald Ellis Jr. and wife, Gidget, of Carthage; daughter, Kathy Robbins and her husband, Bob, of Dixfield. Her grandchildren, Jonathan Robbins and his wife, Samantha, of Carthage, Asia Lynn Ellis and her fiancé, Mike Kotredes of Bangor, Kayla Mae Robbins of Dixfield, Dylan and Alyssa Ellis of Carthage; great-grandchildren, Hailee and Hayden Robbins of Carthage and Kayson and Tanner Kotredes of Bangor; her sisters, Meredith Robbins of Dixfield and Doreen Smith of Tennesee; and brother, Wayne White of Carthage.

She is predeceased by her parents, her brothers, Elijah Jr. and Ronald White; and sister, Marie Conant.

The whole family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn for their comforting care and compassion.
