MPL lists basket winners

MEXICO — The Mexico Public Library has announced the winners of the fall basket fundraiser. 

• Romantic Italian basket: Crystal Pingree;

• Weekend In basket: Glenn Gordon;

• Flavors of Fall basket: Beth Voter;

• All About Blueberries basket: Tammy Schmerfal;

• Winter Car Kit basket: Roz Hodge;

• Queen Bee basket: Kaitlin Langervin;

• Dogs & Cats basket: Roz Hodge;

• Apple Time basket: Paige Proctor;

• Guitar basket: Marie Fowler;

• Pumpkin Palooza basket: Jackson Huard; and

• Fun for Kids basket: Alicia Lavoie.

Winners may pick up their basket at the library. The library will be closed from Thursday to Sunday, Nov. 24 to 27. 

Daughters of Union Vets meet

PARIS — The Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Hannah F. Richardson Tent 19, of Stoneham held its monthly meeting on Oct. 27 at the First Baptist Church.

Nominations were made for officers for the 2017 year. Gifts were brought for the Togus Gift Shop. A monetary donation was made to Western Maine Veterans Home.

New officers will be installed at the next meeting on Feb. 23, 2017, at the same location.

Sons of Italy to meet

RUMFORD — The Sons of Italy will hold its regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, at the Lodge on Route 108.

The meeting will be followed by a light lunch.
