Children’s Christmas party in Jay
JAY — Jay Baptist Church will host a Christmas party for school-age children from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11.
The program will be directed by Child Evangelism Fellowship of Good News Clubs and Camp Good News.
All area children are welcome regardless of religious affiliation.
Parents are also welcome to attend. If they need time for errands, they may drop their child off any time after 3 p.m. They should pick them up by 5:30 p.m.
Blue Christmas service Dec. 12
RUMFORD — An Ecumenical Blue Christmas service will be offered at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Rumford at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12.
This is a service for people who find the season difficult.
All are welcome.
Chance for Catholics to confess
PORTLAND — Maine Catholics are invited to experience forgiveness through the sacrament of reconciliation from Monday through Friday, Dec. 12 to 16.
“The Light is On for You” represents the multiple opportunities for confession being offered by parishes throughout the diocese. During this initiative, Bishop Robert P. Deeley has announced that each parish will offer at least three opportunities for confessions during the week.

Candlelight service at Reeds Mill
MADRID — Reeds Mill Church will hold its annual Candlelight Christmas Service at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, in the afternoon.
All are welcome to this historic “Church in the Wildwood” where the wood fire may keep visitors warm on the outside and Christmas carols and the Christmas story warm on the inside. Kerosene lamps light the way.

Pilgrim Commandery Christmas Observance
WILTON — Pilgrim Commandery No. 19 Knights Templar will hold its annual Christmas Observance at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, at the Harnden Masonic Lodge Hall on Bryant Road, East Wilton.
All Sir Knights, Scottish Rite members, Chapter, Council and Master Masons are invited to attend.
