FARMINGTON — The Farmington Warming Center’s 10th season begins Tuesday, Jan. 3.

It will continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout January and February, then Tuesdays only through March. Hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be coffee and conversation, as well as puzzles and games.

There will be a lunch of soup and dessert at noon. The lunch is free, but donations will be accepted. Coffee and snacks will be provided. Everyone is welcome.

Locations include:

Henderson Memorial Baptist Church, 110 Academy St.: Tuesdays in January, plus Feb. 7.

St. Joseph Parish, 133 Middle St.: Tuesdays beginning Feb. 14 through March.

Old South Church, 227 Main St.: Thursdays, beginning Jan. 5 through Feb. 23.

Volunteers are welcome. Centers are not equipped to supervise child care or provide adult day care.

Public transportation is available for a small fee by calling Western Mountain Transportation in advance at 1-800-393-9335.

Weather-related cancellations will be broadcast on WKTJ-FM 99.3. If school is canceled, there is no Warming Center.
