WEST PARIS — A West Paris man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after being shot early Friday morning by an unknown intruder.
Lt. Justin Brown with the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office said around 4:30 a.m. Friday, a man reported that he had been shot by an unknown suspect inside his home on Tuelltown Road.
“It was essentially a home invasion,” Brown said. “We do have some information that we’re following up on right now.”
The victim told police he was shot while fighting with the suspect.
Brown said that the victim, who he declined to identify, was taken to Stephens Memorial Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
Some items were taken from the victim’s house, Brown said, adding that police are not yet identifying what those items were.
Anyone with any information is encouraged to call Brown at 207-743-9554.
