Region 9 Adult Ed orientation 

MEXICO — Region 9 Adult Education will have orientation for all new and existing students on at 9 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday, Jan. 3 to 5.

New students need to attend two of the three days. Returning students need to attend one day. Those attending should plan on spending at least three hours each day.

Classes will start on Monday, Jan. 9. Students must complete orientation to attend.

NFB-ME Bowl-A-Thon

SCARBOROUGH — The National Federation of the Blind of Maine will hold a Bowl-A-Thon to raise funds to send two members to the Washington DC Seminar at the end of January.

The Bowl-A-Thon will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at the Big 20, 382 Route 1. It will be from 2-4 PM.

There are candlepin bowling with or without bumpers. There will be a fee of $30 per person to bowl. Prizes will be awarded for best male and female bowlers and best team.
