Capital City Improv will perform at Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center on Water Street in Gardiner on Saturday, Jan. 14, at 7:30 p.m.

Capital City Improv comedy troupe uses audience suggestions to create a completely customized comedy show.  Based in Augusta, Capital City Improv has been making people laugh for over two years with their quick-witted, lighting-fast short-form improv. Their 80-minute shows use audience suggestions to create something fun, right on the spot.

Improv is a form of live theater where the plot, characters and all other aspects are made up on the spot, often by the audience. No two improv shows are ever the same, which keeps the performance fun and fresh for both the audience and the actors. Improv is entertaining and spontaneous — and often absurd.

Tickets are $16 for adults and $14 for seniors. Doors open at 7 p.m. This is a show for adults 18 and older. Tickets are available at Johnson Hall’s Box Office from noon to 3 p.m., Monday through Wednesday and Friday or by calling 207-582-7144. Tickets may also be purchased online at www.johnsonhall.org.
