WATERFORD — Selectman Randy Lessard is being challenged by Allan Barden in town elections March 3. The term is for three years.

Lessard has been chairman of the board the past several years.

Town Clerk Brenda Bigonski said nomination papers are due in her office Tuesday, Jan. 17.

So far, School Administrative District 17 Director Barry Patrie has returned papers for a three-year term.

Patrie is a former longtime chairman of the town’s Finance Committee, and acted as chairman of the team representing SAD 17 during a lengthy teachers’ contract negotiation.

The annual town meeting will be held Saturday, March 4, at the Municipal Building, 366 Valley Road.
