PORTLAND — Following several rounds of severe winter weather in many parts of the country, the American Red Cross urges eligible blood and platelet donors to help restock its shelves to overcome a shortage.

Local blood drives include:

Topsham: 1 to 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, at ARC Mid Coast Chapter, 16 Community Way.

Lewiston: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at Lewiston-Auburn Harley-Davidson, 839 Main St.

Lewiston: 7 a.m. to noon Friday, Feb. 10, at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center, 99 Campus Ave.

Bridgton: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at Bridgton Hospital, South High Street.
