The approaching messy storm has forced Lewiston and Auburn to call for parking bans.
Lewiston’s will begin Monday evening at midnight and remain in effect until 8 a.m. Tuesday, while Auburn’s ban will start at 7 a.m. Tuesday morning and end at 9 p.m. Tuesday night. Auburn’s Downtown Parking District is exempt from the parking ban.
Any vehicles found in violation of the ban will be ticketed and towed.
Snow accumulation is anticipated to be between 4 to 6 inches. The storm is expected to turn to sleet and freezing rain during the day Tuesday.
