MECHANIC FALLS — New Ventures Maine is offering a workshop to help local residents get training. The class is free but requires registration.
Intro to Self-Employment will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Regional School Unit 16 Adult Education, Elm Street School, Mechanic Falls. The introductory workshop will help people decide if self-employment is the right choice. The class covers the pros and cons of owning a business, the steps needed to get started, the major elements of a business plan, and the many resources available to help succeed.
