DAC to offer kids’ ukulele camp
DENMARK — The Denmark Arts Center will offer kids camps during school vacation, and in February, kids of all ages are invited to take a tropical escape with Maine music teacher, Alice Haefeli.
DAC will provide a ukulele for each student to explore. Haefeli will teach songs according to each student’s skill and interests. The group will create harmony as they sing and play together.
The DAC’s kids camps are produced with the support of the Maine Arts Commission’s Arts Learning program. Registration is a suggested donation of $50, but no child will be turned away for lack of funds. Guardians can contact the DAC to learn more about scholarship opportunities. Early registration is encouraged.
The classes will run from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, Feb. 20 to 24.
