BRUNSWICK — Normand E. Rocheleau, 87, died peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Mid Coast Senior Health in Brunswick.
He was born in Lewiston on Feb. 22, 1929, the son of Fernando and Cora St. Pierre Rocheleau. He attended St. Peter’s School and Bliss College.
He was employed as a hotelier for many years, first at the Dewitt Hotel in Lewiston and Thayers Hotel in Littleton, N.H. He returned to Maine in 1960 and worked for 27 years with the Sperry and Hutchinson Co. (S&H Green Stamps) until his retirement in 1987.
He was a longtime member of the Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club and the Knights of Columbus. More recently, he delivered Meals on Wheels to midcoast residents.
He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, the former Georgette Eva Goyette. Survivors include his daughter, Susan R. Moore of Brunswick; a grandson, Matthew D. Moore and his wife, Nicole, of Spokane, Wash.; and two great-grandsons, Keegan M. Moore and Griffin W. Moore.
