New Auburn Seniors postpone meeting

AUBURN — The New Auburn Seniors have postponed the March meeting due to repairs being made at Sacred Heart Church. 

The Seniors have planned a meeting for Monday, March 20. Confirmation of this meeting and the meeting time will be announced.

Bridge club lists winners

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners on Feb. 6 were, first, Marta Clements and Pete Cummings; second, Cindy Kirchherr and Jim Krainin; and, third, Rosemarie Goodwin and David Lock.

Winners of the individual game on Feb. 14 were, first and second tie, Rosemarie Goodwin and Bob Kirchherr; third/fourth tie, Claire Lyons and Mike True.

Winners on Feb. 21 were, first, Rosemarie and Tom Goodwin; second and first in B and C, Paul Clement and Roger Labbe; third, Nancy Lindgren and Les Buzzell; fourth, Jeanine Kivus and Pete Cummings; and, second in B, Marta Clements and Hazel Glazier.

Games are played at 9 a.m. Mondays and Tuesdays in the Seniors’ Room at the Lewiston Memorial Armory, 65 Central Ave. A partner is always guaranteed, and all bridge players are welcomed.

Pinochle, pitch players welcome

LEWISTON — Pinochle and pitch card games for seniors are played weekly at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave.

New players are always welcome. Pitch is played at 1 p.m. on Tuesdays. Pinochle is at 1 p.m. on Thursdays. Refresher courses are available in both categories.

The armory is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Players must become a member to participate.
