AUBURN — Yvette Cote Caouette, 69, of Lewiston, died Sunday, April 2, while under the care of Androscoggin Home and Hospice Care in their Hospice House in Auburn.
Yvette was born on Oct. 31, 1947, in Biddeford Pool to her parents, Perley and Cecile Cote. She worked for such places as Happy Jack’s Restaurant, Fancy Stitchers, Knapp Shoe and Falcon Shoe until her retirement in 2016. Over the course of her life, she found enjoyment in such interests and activities as walking and hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, kayaking, cribbage, Scrabble, trips to the ocean, photography and visiting with friends.
She is survived by her son, John Caouette, and her life partner of 35 years, Jim Gaynor of Lewiston. She was predeceased by her parents.
Her infectious laughter will be remembered by all who loved her.
