OXFORD — Rodney Smith, 69, of Oxford, passed away Thursday, March 30, at his home after a short journey with cancer.
He was born in Norway, Aug. 14, 1947, the son of Edwin and Doris (Austin) Smith. He graduated from Oxford High School, Class of 1966. Rodney married Sandra Dunn on March 21, 1970, celebrating 47 years of marriage.
Rodney worked as code enforcement officer for the past 32 years for the town of Oxford.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra, of Oxford; son, Corey, and fiancee, Jenn, of Poland; mother, Doris Tarr, of Augusta; brothers, Stuart of Mechanic Falls, Wayne and wife, Ann, of Oxford, and Terry of Lewiston; sister-in-law, Candace, and husband, John Snow, of Litchfield; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his dad, Edwin; his brother, Stanley; and sister-in-law, Diane.
