Rumford Seniors to see ‘Ripcord’

PERU — The Rumford Seniors will bus to Lewiston to see “Ripcord,” a comedy, at 6 p.m. Friday, May 1.

Sign up is required by Thursday, April 20.

Cost is $42 for members or $47 for nonmembers. 

Earth Day cleanup for Jay

JAY — The Jay Recreation Committee will hold an Earth Day cleanup from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 22, to clean up the Whistle Stop Trail.

Those attending should meet at the French Falls Recreation Area across from Spruce Mountain Middle School. 

Sons of Italy to meet

RUMFORD — Sons of Italy will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, April 24, on Route 108, for a regular meeting.

A light lunch will be served.

Rumford Seniors plan luncheon

PERU — The Rumford Seniors will serve a luncheon at noon on Monday, April 24.

Finnish Cemetery Association meeting

WEST PARIS — The Finnish Cemetery Association meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, at the Mission Congregational Church on Church St.

Reports will be given and election of officers held. All persons having connections with the cemetery are urged to attend.

Those interested in joining the association may attend. 

North Chesterville Homemakers meeting

CHESTERVILLE — The North Chesterville Extension Homemakers will be meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, at the Chesterville Town Office.

This meeting is a work session for projects for the Maine Extension Homemakers Council Fall Meeting, to be hosted by the Franklin County Extension Homemakers.

The event is open to the public.

Rumford Seniors to tour Shaker Village

PERU — Rumford Seniors will bus to the Shaker Village at 8 a.m. Wednesday, June 14. 

Sign up is required by Wednesday, May 24.

Cost is $32 for members or $37 for nonmembers.

The tour has two flights of stairs. A no-stairs tour is available for an additional $2.
