AUBURN — Raymond St. Pierre, 88, formerly of Lewiston, passed away peacefully at Clover Manor in Auburn on Friday, April 14.
Born in Lewiston on May 26, 1928, he was the son of Philippe and Gloria Levesque St. Pierre. Educated in local schools, he was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of 1947. After high school, he went to work for the family business, Victor News, and later served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After his discharge, he attended Bentley College, graduating in 1955. He married Carmen Dumont, the love of his life, in 1962. Ray worked for Bates Fabrics for many years, was elected treasurer and served on the board of directors, and was also the director of the National Association of Accountants. He belonged to the American Legion, the Exchange Club and Martindale Country Club.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carmen of Lewiston.
He was predeceased by three brothers, E. Philip, Eugene and Roger; two sisters, Sylvia Bernier and Muriel Baylis; and many nieces and nephews.
