Marines Corps League meeting

LEWISTON — Marine Corps League Central Maine Detachment 810 will host its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 27, at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. 

All Marines, FMF Corpsman, and Navy Chaplains are invited. Anyone interested in Marines Helping Veterans is also invited to attend.

MCL Central Maine Detachment 810 is also looking for some Marines to help put out flags on veteran gravessites at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 28, at St. Peters Cemetery.

New Auburn Neighborhood watch meeting


AUBURN — The New Auburn Neighborhood Watch meeting will be at 6:30p.m. Thursday, April 27, at the Sixth Street Congregational Church.

Danville Junction Grange meeting

DANVILLE — Danville Junction Grange will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 27.

The program will be presented by the Agriculture Committee. Frank Pecoraro of Mulberry Farm in North Raymond will be the guest speaker.

Refreshments will be served at the close of the meeting.

All members and guests are welcome.


Members are reminded to bring clipped coupons for the troops and donations for PAL.

Cemetery association spring meeting

WALES — The annual spring meeting of the East Wales Cemetery Association will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 28, at the Wales Municipal Building on the Centre Road.

Anyone owning a lot or anyone who has a family member buried in East Wales Cemetery is eligible for membership.  

Directors, a secretary and a treasurer will be elected for the year.

‘Elvis’ performing for Lewiston Seniors


LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens will host an evening with Elvis. EP Rock will perform at 7 p.m. Friday, May 12, at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave.

Tickets are on sale at the Senior Center at the Armory for $10 in advance. Tickets will be $12 at the door.

Cribbage league lists winners 

LEWISTON — Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners on April 13 were, first place, Dick Dennis and Bob Masse; second, Betty Ames and Trudy Faunce; third, Richard Champagne and Roger Labbe; fourth, Cecile Bussiere and Andrea Metayer; and, fifth, Claudette Grandmaison and Roger St. Pierre.

Games are played at 9 a.m. on Thursdays at the Lewiston Memorial Armory.
