NORWAY — The Mollyockett Chorus invites all community members to its Friends and Family Night at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, at the First Universalist Church, 479 Main St.
The chorus will perform songs it will sing at the Region 1 Springfield Competition on May 6. Rounding out the evening, the chorus will be singing several of its favorite show tunes.
Friends and Family Night is also an opportunity to meet the chorus’s new director, Simon Smith. Smith began directing the chorus in January.
Following the performance, there will be a social time with light refreshments.
The Mollyockett Chorus has completed its 20th year as a chapter of Sweet Adelines International and rehearses Tuesday evenings at the First Universalist Church from 6:30-9 p.m. Women who are interested may visit the chorus at a rehearsal. More information is available on the chorus website, www.mollyockettchorus.org, or by calling Jolan at 364-4102.

Members of the Mollyockett Chorus hail from Bethel, Bridgton, Bryant Pond, Hebron, Lovell, Norway, Oxford, Rumford, South Paris and Stoneham.
