BETHEL — The Community Concepts Finance Corp. is offering two workshops with Abbie McGilvery, social media strategist and owner of From the Nest. Both will be held Thursday, April 27, at the GEM Theater in Bethel.
The first workshop, 10 Steps to Building a Successful, Simple Social Media Strategy will meet from 9 to 11:30 a.m. McGilvery will touch on 10 topics small business owners need to be aware of when they are planning a social media campaign. She will help attendees gain a robust understanding of what a social media campaign really is, how to plan a campaign efficiently, and how to manage a social media schedule and content in an organized, simple way.
The second workshop, Navigating Google Drive (1.0/Basics), will meet from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Google Drive is an essential tool for managing and sharing photos, documents, and videos from any device — but it can be so confusing. In this workshop, McGilvery will demonstrate how to navigate the platform, create and share beautiful forms, slide shows and spreadsheets and make Google Drive work.
Cost for one workshop is $25 for chamber members; $30 for nonmembers. For both workshops, the cost is $45 for chamber members; $55 for nonmembers.
