What is the Legislature thinking? Are they out of their minds?
This is so wrong. It’s bad enough now that there are right-hand turns on red. People have to stop on red and only go when no one is coming. Ha! Ha!
Lots of people don’t really come to a stop. Others will jump out in front of you if you are a bit slower, and end up making you slow down.
Then there’s the fact of saving time and gas.
How much time would one really save? Not even one minute. Not even close.
As for gas, newer cars get better gas mileage and then that is lost when the state raises the speed limit on the highways. Lots of the highways are at 70 mph limits, but many are doing 80 and faster. More gas wasted.
Who is really concerned about saving gas any more?
