CLERMONT, Fla. — William P. Jackson, 77, of Clermont, Fla., passed away Friday, April 14, at his residence. He was born Sept. 9, 1939, in Livermore, to the proud parents of Perley and Verna Mae (Staples) Jackson. William was a retired regional service manager, working with Hino Trucks of America after several years with Mitsubishi Truck of America.
He moved to the area, along with his wife, in 1998, coming from South Berwick. Locally, he was a member of Oakland Presbyterian Church in Oakland. He was a true workman, his career keeping him on the road most weekdays, then enjoying family time on the weekends.
William truly loved fixing any problems or challenges. He also loved woodworking, making everything from his own personal furniture to furniture for family and friends.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Carol, of Clermont, Fla.; his three loving children, Pamela Jackson and Elizabeth Trask, both of Mount Vernon, and Douglas W. and his wife, Barbara Jackson, of Winthrop; his two sisters, Arlene and Lucien Dube and Patricia and Lawrence McNear, both of Livermore; five grandchildren, Erin, Ariel, Lakin, Tony and Brittany; and eight great-grandchildren, Quinton, Kylee, Hailee, MacKenzie, Bryce, Wyatt, Hunter and Arcadia.
